If you are enrolling on behalf of a minor, you represent and warrant that you are the parent, legal guardian, or authorized representative of that minor and that you have authority to accept these Terms on the minor’s behalf.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials, account access, or course-related information provided to you. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use or suspected breach.
For online lessons, you are responsible for your own internet access, compatible device, software, and technical setup. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by your equipment, service provider, or local network issues.
4. Payment Terms and Conditions
All fees, package prices, trial session charges, registration fees, and other costs will be disclosed at the time of purchase, enrollment, or booking. Unless otherwise stated in writing, all amounts are payable in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Payment is due in advance unless we expressly agree otherwise. We may require full payment before confirming enrollment, reserving a class seat, or commencing services.
If we offer installment plans, late payment may result in suspension of services, cancellation of enrollment, or loss of reserved placement. You remain responsible for all outstanding amounts, including any applicable administrative charges or collection costs permitted by law.
We may update our pricing at any time for future services. Price changes will not affect services already paid for, except where expressly stated in a written agreement or where required by law.
Taxes, including applicable GST/HST or other sales taxes, will be added where required by law.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation and refund rights may vary depending on the type of service purchased, the timing of cancellation, and whether services have already commenced. Unless a separate written policy is provided for a specific program, the following rules apply:
- Private tutoring: Cancellations made with sufficient notice, as specified in the booking policy, may be rescheduled or credited at our discretion. Missed sessions or late cancellations may be charged in full.
- Group classes and programs: Enrollment fees and deposits may be non-refundable once a seat is reserved. Refunds for unused portions, if any, may be calculated on a pro-rated basis less any reasonable administrative fees, subject to applicable law.
- Online live lessons: If technical issues are caused by us and cannot be reasonably remedied, we may offer a make-up session, credit, or refund at our discretion and subject to applicable law.
- Workshops and short courses: Cancellations after the course start date may not be refundable, unless required by law or specifically stated in the program description.
Requests for cancellation or refund must be submitted in writing to our contact email. Refunds, where approved, will be issued using the original method of payment or another reasonable method chosen by us, unless otherwise required by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable Canadian consumer protection laws, including mandatory disclosure or refund rights that may apply in the province of British Columbia.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class, tutor, instructor, location, or program due to low enrollment, safety concerns, instructor availability, technical issues, or other reasonable circumstances. In such cases, we may offer a rescheduling option, credit, or refund, as appropriate and required by law.
6. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maple Bridge Chinese Learning Ltd. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, instructors, agents, and representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of our services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or CAD $100, whichever is greater, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.
We do not exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
We are not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages resulting from your failure to follow instructions, disclose relevant health or learning needs, supervise minors properly, or use services in a manner inconsistent with our guidance.

In such circumstances, we may suspend, reschedule, modify, or cancel services as reasonably necessary. Where feasible, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative arrangement.
